Skogluft Hus
Skogluft - Norwegian term for “forest air”
When envisioning this home, we wanted to pay homage to the clients’ Norwegian roots while also creating a healthy and sustainable design. A green living roof, floor to ceiling pocketing glass doors, and stone that seamlessly transitions from interior to exterior spaces gives new meaning to the ‘indoor/outdoor living’ concept.
Careful consideration was given to site placement in order to capture the best view from the street approach, optimal sun for living roofs and solar panels, and placement of a large pool and tennis court.
Curved walls and living roofs reflect nature’s organic shapes, while steep galvanized metal peaks mirror the sky/surroundings and give this home a modern touch.
